Postdoctoral Researcher

Gareth is a postdoctoral researcher with a particular interest in immunology, in the context of lung disease and inflammation. After completing an honours degree in immunology at the University of Edinburgh, Gareth undertook a PhD at the Roslin Institute under the supervision of Bernadette Dutia, where he studied changes in T cell and macrophage populations during co-infections with influenza A. He has since joined the MRC Centre for Inflammation, working with Dr Robert Gray, investigating the role of calprotectin during lung inflammation and the impact of NETosis on cystic fibrosis lung disease.
